Mechanical Engineer

I’m a Senior Data Scientist and a trainer in Industrial Statistics. I have a background in Mechanical Engineering from the Instituto Superior Tecnico of Lisbon and a specialization in Applied Data Science by the Swiss technical university EPFL which helps me getting deep insights in many different industrial contexts.

In my work, I had the opportunity to visit more than 30 different factories around the world and work on varied projects from coffee capsules to watches, from plastic parts to software. This experience in the manufacturing industry spans 25 years, first with Philip Morris, then Rolex and now Nestlé. Having held various positions in R&D, Operations and IT I have gathered a broad understanding of how consumer goods are conceived, industrialized and manufactured.
